I am a writer, beekeeper, and stained glass artist. My background work experience is farmer, welder, and 4th class powerengineer.

My first publication was ‘Echoes of the Red Earth’. It was my novice manuscript, with, as I look back, quite a few grammatical errors. But we keep writing and improving our skills. I rewrote it, and changed the title to ‘The Thundering: and other short stories by Cornelius van Dijk.’

My second book is, ‘The Drumming: and other short stories by Cornelius van Dijk. The stories are connected by the characters — one, having one blue eye and one green eye. His or hers skin tone is red, and they have six digits on their hands and feet. I had picked ‘Echoes of the Red Earth’ for the original title because early humans were in some creation stories created from the red earth, and that is why their skin tone was red.

Echoes are memories that transcend from generation to generation.

My third book is ‘A World of Colour And other Night Time Reads.’ These are a collection of writings I wrote over a period of time, mostly while working nights. The cover photo for it is the first piece of stained glass I designed and made. I hope you enjoy the reads. Cornelius van Dijk.
